The Purdy/Kresge Library has the complete run of both the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press newspapers on microfilm.

In addition, we have a digital edition of the Detroit Free Press for the years 1831 to 1922. The digital edition is available from this catalog link:

We also have an online subscription to Proquest Digital Microfilm for the Detroit Free Press which has digital images of the paper from January 1, 2008 forward, except for a 3 month embargo.
