SAE Digital Library: online full-text access from 1906 - present

The SAE Digital Library indexes all SAE publications, and provides full-text access to papers published since 1906. A search may be performed within the Digital Library using keywords or the SAE document number.

The SAE Digital Library is available via the library homepage. Select the Article Database tab, select the letter "S" and then select SAE Digital Library (it is the first choice).

SAE Standards

SAE ground vehicle standards (“J-standards”) are located in the SAE Handbook on CD-ROM.  This is a reserve item for use in the library only; the most recent handbooks (2008/2009/2010) are kept behind the Purdy-Kresge circulation desk under the call number TL 151.S62.

SAE Ground Vehicle Standards issued after 2010 and other types of SAE standards can be requested through the Document Delivery service using the online request form.
