Canvas is the Course Management System used by Wayne State University to support both in-person and online courses.

Faculty can make their course syllabus, assignments, course materials and quizzes and tests in Canvas.

To get to Canvas, go to canvas.wayne.edu. You will need to log in with your WSU AccessID and Password (the same one you use for Academica)

Firefox or Google Chrome are the preferred browsers for Blackboard. You can download a copy free: Firefox Browser Download or Google Chrome Download

The Office for Teaching and Learning provides workshops and consultations for Canvas. You can register for workshops on Academica. If you’d like to schedule a consultation, call or email the OTL at 313-577-0001 or otl@wayne.edu. The Learning Management Support team has compiled resources may find helpful: https://canvasproject.wayne.edu/gettingstarted

You can also find Canvas help guides by logging into Canvas, click “Help” in the green global navigation panel and clicking on “Search the Canvas Guides."
